This little guy just wasn't sure if he should be afraid of the thing completely covered up with a coat and scarf and hat. He had to come over closer to get a better look.

It started snowing this afternoon...this was my attempt to photograph a light dusting of snow closeup without my tripod and with no macro lens (need to buy one of those!).

It's a lovely, sparkly snow that would probably yield some great shots under a macro lens.

Tiny stuffed elephant that I sewed up today. I used the sleeve of an old shirt and the elephant taggie animal pattern from Homemade By Jill: http://homemadebyjill.blogspot.com/2009/02/taggie-animals-tutorial.html

This is Gracie. She wasn't terribly pleased with the flash going off in her eyes, but then she never looks terribly pleased with anything, even though she's quite a sweet little cat.

Oh, 'cause blue skies are coming...
It poured down rain last night, leaving any low-lying areas submerged and streams of water draining down the streets. There was a clear bright blue sky up above though. :)

Playing with my hair. I used to do things with it all the time, but after getting layers cut in it it's been too short and slippery the past few years.

On the alarm clock...7:45. That was the plan, and the cough medicine was supposed help. Instead I was awake half the night coughing and dead tired in the morning.

I thought the Robitussin tasted better than it used to; it probably doesn't work as well any more! :P

"Hecho en Mexico". The Mexican Coke I drank with supper; it's sweetened with sugar instead of high-fructose corn syrup. Very nice and not so sticky.

I bought a binder to put my recipes in. There's an amazing variety of binders at Staples...heavy-duty, durable, regular. This was the middle-range one, both in quality and price. I just wanted a sturdy binder with plastic over it!

We are in the process of moving some bookshelves and perhaps getting new ones, so right now the piano is holding some of the books.

I said it looked like a used book store, to which my dad replied "...a messy one!" Ah, but that's rather redundant. A good used bookstore is comfortably cluttered.

The Plan

This year I'm going to try to do Project 365. One photo a day for a whole year. Hopefully with increasingly better results throughout the year.

Check back in to see the photos through the year. :) I'm going to try to post a photo daily, but if I don't have time I'll catch up as soon as I can.

Enjoy!
